December 2021 Newsletter

Published 23rd of December 2021

Dear Brothers and Sisters!

Looking back at 2021, I remind myself about how God has been grateful to us. Many things might have changed in our lives, there might have been too much unexpected, but I, personally, could see God's faithfulness throughout all this time. God was there helping us get through every day. With His blessings, we could follow serving others and be a blessing to people around us.

I would like to share with you this wallpaper and a poem that I have kept on my desktop to remind myself that when things would feel too hard, I knew that nothing was lost.

However difficult or happy your year has been. I hope you can find peace in entering the year 2022. I believe it will be full of challenges, those that help us grow and get closer to God.

UNITY YOUTH LEADER ZOOM CALL
On the 13th of November, we had another of our youth leader ZOOM calls. This time it was led by the Nepali youth leader Br. Roshan Khadka. We had a great time sharing and listening to Br. Roshan talking about the ways the youth work in Nepal and how they participate in church activities.

Greetings from the Unity Youth Committee Members

So another year comes to pass and like a Silent Night, at times, it’s felt like a Bleak Midwinter. We have had ups and downs, distanced events and cancellations, and moments when we’ve all felt perhaps a little bit Away in a Manger. However, I do believe that the youth work and the energy in our church have not been shelved, like a book which tells a tale about people Once in Royal Davids City. I pray that 2022 will have us all jumping In Dulci Jubilo (Latin for ‘In sweet rejoicing’) to use our gifts and talents to bring Joy to the World (or at least to our youth) and help us shine like stars Upon a midnight clear. I also pray that this festive time of year, May God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen (& women) and make you all Ding Dong, Merrily on High.

Greetings Sisters and Brothers
May you find a new meaning to this festive season, as we have been experiencing it differently these past two years.
My message to you, let us remember why we celebrate this season, especially the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ. Let us go into 2022, with a renewed spirit and believe that the sun shall rise again!
If you are fortunate to spend time with your loved ones, enjoy every minute and treasure the moments. If your loved one’s chair will be empty this time, treasure the moments and time you could spend with them.
Let us continue to keep ourselves and loved ones safe, but especially our ‘neighbours’ by getting vaccinated. We are in this together and need to keep the faith!
A BLESSED FESTIVE SEASON AND MAY 2022, BE A PROSPEROUS YEAR FOR ALL OF US!
God Bless You!
Your Brother in Christ
